The Roofing Project Manager is responsible for controlling every stage of roofing installations, and all other work related to the roofing project, as well as repairs to residential properties from the beginning of the project through every phase up to completion and final walk through. They aim to complete projects on time and within budget, ensuring that roofing crews work in safe conditions, and conducting on site safety meetings with the crew and completing daily safety checklists. They supervises the work of the crew assigned to each project and must possess skill in supervision, cost and project planning, in addition to excellent knowledge of roofing techniques and materials.
What You Will Do:
  • Holding pre-construction meetings with each homeowner on the morning of the first day of the project, to go over the scope of work to be performed.
  • Ensure that homeowner has your business card with all contact information.
  • Schedule and attend planning meeting with the Production Department and the Roofing Superintendents as needed to plan and carry out the work.
  • Performs repairs as necessary in order to facilitate the schedule.
  • Assesses warranties and assigns work as necessary.
  • Ordering of tools, equipment, and materials while job is in progress through completion.
  • Directing subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  • Coordinating work schedule with homeowners, Roofing Superintendents, and subcontractors and inform Production Manager of all changes in the schedule.
  • Marinating daily jobsite records, take adequate photos and upload to the Acculynx program along with notes about the job.
  • Inspecting work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
  • Monitoring job progress and works to control costs while doing the highest quality work.
  • Preparing estimates for all change orders.
  • Communicating progress, updates and potential change orders with homeowners.
  • Ensuring that a safe and clean work site is maintained and that all workers abide by OSHA safety standards and requirements. Is attentive to quality control and job efficiency making sure work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Completing any remaining items needed to complete the job, such as painting, clean-up, etc. Ensures that all materials are removed, that property is left in as good or better condition than prior to the job being started.
  • Conducting the final walk-through with the homeowner to ensure that the job is completed to the customer's satisfaction and collect final payment.
  • Collecting other payments as necessary. Keeps Accounting Department informed of all pending and approved change orders.
  • Supervising 6-8 employees including Roofing Superintendents and subcontracted roofing crews

Requirements

  • Minimum Required Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 2-3yrs of Roofing or Construction Trades Experience
  • Previous Management/Leadership Experience is Preferred
  • Must be able to speak English fluently. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
