The Mom Project is Hiring an Enterprise Sales Director Near Palo Alto, CA

  • This position is located in Palo Alto, CA, only candidates in the local area will be considered.
Stealth Palo Alto-based AI startup backed by founders of companies like OpenAI and Care.com seeking an experienced sales leader to join founding team. Founders are serial entrepreneurs with deep experiences building technical companies from 0 to 1. Product is a specialized AI agent platform helping hourly workers get access to near real-time assistance. This is a high-intensity role requiring candidate to regularly travel across the country for customer meetings.
Strong preference for candidates with retail experiences and/or are veterans.
What You’ll DoAs an Enterprise Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for accelerating the growth through the execution of strategic partnerships with Enterprise Customers serving their recruitment needs. Given the nature of the startup, hours will likely exceed 60 in a week, candidates must be open to that level of involvement.
Responsibilities
  • Own and manage all aspects of strategic sales cycles with enterprise customers
  • Self-source, develop, and solution a pipeline, efficiently driving it to closure using proven sales methodology and best practices
  • Act as an expert advisor to your prospects, communicating strategic insights and the value of the platform to C-Suite and other senior enterprise stakeholder
  • Be an expert on market dynamics, internal thought leadership, and marketing campaigns; understanding their relevance and introducing them into sales cycles appropriately
  • Meet or exceed revenue quota, executing with high productivity at high velocity
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of consultative Enterprise SaaS sales experience within the software/ HR Tech space
  • Background in selling innovation and new concepts to large Enterprises
  • Strong ability to develop a vision match with prospects and customers, create alignment across different groups and cultivate champions within customer organizations
  • Experience selling to Fortune 5000 with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives (revenue targets, pipeline targets, etc.)
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and marketing automation systems
  • Ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations
  • Must be adaptable, professional, courteous, motivated and work independently or as a member of a team
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload
  • Ability to travel as needed (nationwide, 50% of the time)
Compensation & Benefits
  • This role will start as contract based and has the opportunity to move to a perm placement after trial period
  • Benefits available if this position turns to a permanent hire
