We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is a hybrid setup (onsite 3 days a week) at our Customer's Sunnyvale, CA.What You'll Do
- Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplift
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives
- A proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
- A Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in computer science or related discipline
- 3 years of Experience Installing and managing below:
- Linux systems administration with a focus on Ubuntu and RHEL
- Experience managing unstructured storage like NetApp, Isilon.
- Experience with Ansible automation
- Experience with Jenkins, Git, and Terraform
- Able to navigate through diverse cloud platforms
- Managing HCI and virtual platforms like Nutanix and VMware vSphere
- Experience with Kubernetes is nice to have.
- Coding experience beyond simple scripts
