The Moody Bible Institute is Hiring a PT Title IX Administrator & Investigator Near Chicago, IL

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention and Response/Title IX Coordinator, the Title IX Administrator/Investigator will serve students, staff, alumni and guests of MBI; provide administrative support to the Director of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence/Title IX Coordinator and the Deputy Director/Lead Investigator; conduct investigations in the areas of Title IX, Sexual Harassment, Sexual Violence, Retaliation, and Stalking.

  • Lead the preparation and documentation of Title IX compliance
  • Assist with scheduling and set up for meetings and Title IX educational trainings
  • Employ material-sensitive communication with involved parties under the direction of the Director of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention/Title IX Coordinator and the Deputy Director/Lead Investigator
  • Assist as directed with research and investigation of Title IX compliance issues and available training
  • Maintain a working knowledge of, and regularly update, all points where Student Services information may be found including, but not limited to, such areas as display monitors, bulletin boards, CD2, Campus Solutions, MS Outlook, and moody.edu website.
  • Prepare for and participate in regular meetings with the Title IX staff for planning, assessment and coordination.

  • Oversee the data collection and retention process of Title IX
  • Work collaboratively under the supervision of the Director of Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Prevention and Response/Title IX Coordinator with various units at MBI and outside agencies to ensure MBI’s compliance with requirements and best practices related to Title IX, the Clery Act, Campus Sexual Violence Elimination (Campus SaVE) Act, VAWA, youth protection and other statewide and national laws/initiatives related to all areas of responsibilities.
  • Under the immediate supervision of the Deputy Director/Lead Investigator, conduct investigations in the subject matter areas of Title IX violations, sexual harassment, sexual violence, retaliation, and
  • Participate in interviews of incident reporters, complainants, witnesses, and
  • Manage individual case investigative priorities including drafting case reports and interview summaries; scheduling interviews, meetings, and hearings; communicating with the participants, and maintaining physical and electronic case files.
  • Attend trainings and certification courses in the areas of Title IX violations, trauma-informed interviewing, and sexual harassment/violence

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Criminal Justice, or another relevant field
  • Three years of administrative experience
  • Excellent relational and organizational skills
  • Strong commitment to client service
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working understanding of software including Microsoft Office, and other similar applications commonly employed in academic institutions
  • Able to work in the US Legally without sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Master of Business Administration/Master of Counseling degree
  • Five years of administrative experience
  • Prior experience conducting criminal or administrative investigations

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a Part-Time Professional position that regularly works 25 hours a week. This role primarily operates at our downtown Chicago campus but may have opportunities for remote work. Hours vary Monday through Friday, and some travel may be expected for this position.
