Family in Rancho Santa Fe searching for a part-time nanny for their 6 year old, 4 year old and 1 year old. Schedule: Monday-Friday 12-5:30pm and one day a week until 8pm. Responsibilities include: Caring for 3 children, providing guided learning and activities, tidying up, helping the busy parents to stay organized, light household chores including dishes, laundry and organizing common areas, driving 2 older children to and from school. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of professional childcare experience, ability to help achieve developmental milestones and learning, positive role model, firm but loving boundaries and proven longevity in previous positions. Family is looking for a long-term contract. Must be CPR/First Aid certified, have a valid driver's license, safe vehicle and clean driving record and able to pass a background check.

Job Description

Full-time care for 3 children

Schedule: Monday-Friday 12-5:30 and one night until 8pm.

Start date: ASAP

Rate: $22-$30/hour

Duties

Basic child-care duties including but not limited to: bathing, feeding, dressing, and bedtime

Engage child in creative, age appropriate, educational activities

Carpooling

Assist with child related housekeeping duties and pitch in to the overall tidiness of the family environment

Basic meal prep for dinner

Provide a safe and warm environment for the child at all times

Family assistant duties: errands, organization, meal prep, scheduling appointments

Experience/Skills/Characteristics

At least 3 years of professional childcare experience

Flexible and adaptable to schedule changes

Energetic, hands on, confident, and engaging

Excellent communicator- not afraid to give or receive feedback

Willing to maintain a digital log of daily activities

Health conscious, and able to prepare wholesome, age appropriate meals

Creative and education focused

Knowledgeable about each developmental stage and attuned to the child’s developmental needs

Interest and focus on early childhood education

Attentive to safety best practices at all times

CPR Certified

Adept at “stepping in” and “stepping out” without being directed

Anticipates the needs of the family and is eager to pitch in

This position does NOT allow the nanny to bring their child with them
