Overview

BEXLEY, OH (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) -A wonderful family just outside of Columbus seeks a dedicated and nurturing FULL-TIME NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to care for their three boys, ages 9, 10.5, and 12.5. The boys are sensitive, sweet, silly, and active, with a love for sports and play. The middle child was recently diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and the family is looking for someone to help monitor his glucose levels and administer insulin as needed. Prior knowledge and experience with diabetes management is a plus, but the family is happy to provide training. Parents maintain close communication with the school nurse and are very involved in his care.

The boys are in school from 8 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, with sports and other activities from 4 pm to 8 pm. They attend two separate schools that are located next to one another and all within walking distance of the family’s home. The nanny will be responsible for afterschool school pick-ups and transporting the children to their after-school activities in the nanny's vehicle. A safe, reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

This position is live-out only. While the schedule is subject to change, it will primarily be Monday: 10 am - 8 pm, Tuesday & Wednesday: 1 pm - 8 pm, Thursday: 2 pm - 7 pm and Friday: 12 pm - 4 pm. The schedule may flex, with Monday-Wednesday being the busiest and Fridays more flexible. Evening hours are required Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities include complete childcare, managing the household, preparing/cooking family dinners from time to time, assisting with family laundry, house organization, coordinating home maintenance, and ensuring the household runs smoothly. The household management duties are the primary focus while the children are in school.

The ideal candidate is eager, flexible, warm, dependable, honest, organized, and calm. The family has a routine cleaning service, so there is no heavy cleaning other than keeping the home neat, tidy and organized. They have a hypoallergenic dog in the home—must love dogs! There are no requirements for travel or overnight care at this time.

Pay is $25-30 per hour gross depending on experience. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, vacation, as well as a healthcare and dental insurance. Start date is ASAP!
