MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES)- Busy parents with demanding careers seek a proactive, FULL-TIME NANNY to care for their 9-year-old and 4-year-old girls. The position will initially cover the afternoon/evening shift from 2-6 PM, Monday through Friday, with additional hours for two date nights per week and weekend help. A guaranteed 40 hours per week is offered, with one day off. The family currently has a long-term nanny who will be moving out of state next year. At that time, the new nanny will transition to working the main hours from approximately 7:30 AM to 3 PM, five days per week (typically 45 hours/week).

They have two small dogs, so no allergies, please! They are open to relocating the perfect candidate and are willing to help with housing as part of the compensation package. A nanny car will be available for use while on the job.

The ideal candidate has a high-level of education and engagement. Someone with a background in early childhood education/a related field who can come up with educational activities, crafts, nature walks, etc. They seek a nanny who can be physically active with the children, joining them on neighborhood walks, bike rides, and park visits. A strong, confident swimmer is essential due to the pool in the backyard. The ideal candidate will be warm, nurturing, fun, engaging, and possess a calming presence. They should be organized, detail-oriented, and take initiative and pride in their role.

Duties include complete childcare, family laundry, chauffeuring the children to/from school and activities, supervising playdates, helping with homework, light housekeeping and cooking for the children. The eldest has food allergies, so vigilance in the kitchen is mandatory. They seek a nanny who can keep the kids engaged in fun and educational activities and limit screen time.

The neighborhood is amazing for children, featuring beautiful walking paths along the water with incredible views, nature trail through woods and marsh with opportunities to see wildlife, two man-made lakes for feeding ducks, and numerous parks for children to play. The family would love a nanny who is flexible to accompany them on trips or stay back and care for the children overnight if the parents travel solo. They typically travel during school breaks for up to 7-10 days max in duration.
