Position Summary
This role plays a crucial part in developing and executing Partner Marketing tactics to drive League viewership, engagement, and fan growth goals. The Associate Manager will play a meaningful role in leading the execution of co-marketing programs tied to tentpole and DTC marketing campaigns, with the goal of using partners to engage fans and drive tune-in.

Major Responsibilities

• Support the team in the strategic and creative development of co-marketing partner programs tied to key tentpole tune-in and fan engagement objectives
• Develop opportunities to extend marketing initiatives to league partners
• Assist in the project management of all aspects of activations, including project timelines, status reports, event activations, media placements, promotional executions, tracking/reporting and communication with internal counterparts within Marketing and cross-functional departments
• Represent Marketing in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams (Global Partnerships, Product, DTC, Legal, etc.) to drive maximum value and engagement from partners
• Support in the development of DTC partner opportunities, specifically partner programs that can support growth of NBA DTC business. This includes, but is not limited to, program ideation, media plan development, creative development and delivery, trafficking and reporting
• Communicate frequently with internal teams to vet and advance opportunities
• Assist in in the development of go-to-market and program recap presentations and materials
• Support a research agenda that measures program success and equips the team with customer insights to deliver the right programs, experiences, and benefits
• Develop a deep understanding of our global business priorities (business OKM’s, audience segmentation, etc.)
• Build internal relationships through a desire to work collaboratively
• Stay informed on brand marketing and sports sponsorship trends and news
• Take on ad hoc projects as needed

Required Education/Professional Experience

• BA or BS degree required

Required Skills/Knowledge Attributes

• 3 years of related work experience with an agency, brand, entertainment, or sports property
• The role requires effective communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to balance the objectives of different teams and stakeholders
• Knowledge of marketing, partnerships, media, brand management, and/or consumer promotions (preferred background: marketing/ media/ promotions)
• Ability to develop and execute cross-platform concepts
• Ability to speak the language of brand, marketing, and business
• A self-starter who is motivated and can handle delegated tasks proactively tackles assignments, and independently drives projects to completion
• Strong organization skills, including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
• Ability to interact positively and work effectively with others, both internal and external; Desire to work in a shared environment and be a great teammate
• Excellent computer skills; Photoshop experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000
