The Specialized Clinical and Psychiatric Services (SCPS) Clinical Manager (Brooklyn / Queens) is responsible for providing oversight of mental health screening (initial and annual) and Core Limited Health Related Services (mental health skill building and Treatment Planning) for youth in foster care in the Brooklyn / Queens region. They will also support regional coordination of SCPS referrals and carry a small individual psychotherapy caseload.

• Complete or coordinate completion of mental health screenings on intake and annually as needed for Brooklyn / Queens
• foster care youth.
• Oversee the scheduling and planning of Clinical Planning Conferences in the Brooklyn / Queens FFC and TFFC.
• Coordinate mental health skill building and 29i Treatment Plan completion for Brooklyn / Queens FFC and TFFC.
• Responsible for overseeing the in-house therapy referrals in their assigned region and coordinating referrals to community based mental health clinics.
• Oversee referrals to psychologist for psychological evaluations when needed.
• Oversee referrals to the staff psychiatrist for psychiatric evaluations when needed.
• Responsible for compliance with external audit requirements in conjunction with the AVP and the Vice President of Mental Health Services.
• Provide consultation and training to case planning staff when appropriate.
• Support early career clinical psychotherapists in the absence of Clinical Supervisor.
• Conduct orientation for new case planning staff on mental health procedures and services, in coordination with AVP of Brooklyn / Queens.
• Carry a small psychotherapy caseload using a trauma-informed, evidenced based treatment models for youth and families to ameliorate symptoms resulting from trauma exposure, maladaptive coping patterns resulting from the impact of complex trauma and psychiatric diagnoses.
• Complete treatment summaries and progress notes and other paperwork related to providing therapy in a timely fashion.

Salary Range - $70,000-$75,000/year

• Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
• Must hold a license or limited permit in New York State as an MSW or MHC.
• Administrative experience in an office setting (preferably medical/mental health setting).
• Experience and knowledge of trauma-informed psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Good clinical skills and experience providing psychotherapy services with children and adolescents.
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a interdisciplinary team
