Job Details
DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Oversees the continued success of the organization's DEI strategy and initiatives by building on existing strategic initiatives with support from the DEI Committee.
  • Collaborates with HR department and hiring managers to promote diverse candidate sourcing and recruitment practices.
  • Cultivates a strong and cohesive organizational culture through targeted initiatives and programs that resonate with employees at all levels.
  • Acts as a DEI subject matter expert and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization.
  • Advises senior leadership on emerging issues, trends, and best practices in the areas of diversity, inclusion, and organizational culture with a focus on healthcare delivery and trauma-informed care.
  • Assists in the development of Agency policies that reinforce diversity and organizational culture.
  • Develops and tracks metrics and benchmarks related to agency’s goals in the areas of DEI and organizational culture.
  • Provides coaching and strategic direction with a focus on increasing organizational culture and diversity awareness in leadership roles.
  • Leads internal communication strategies that ensure alignment with our organizational culture.
  • In conjunction with the CHRO and HR department, leads and contributes to the following initiatives:
    • development and execution of the employee engagement program, creating opportunities for employees to connect, collaborate, and flourish within the organization;
    • coordinates the agency’s internship, apprenticeship, and student educational programs with a focus on promoting and increasing access to diverse candidates entering the behavioral healthcare field;
    • establishes and oversees a robust staff development program, including coordination and facilitation of agency-wide educational programs, services, and special events related to diversity and organizational culture;
    • develops and facilitates trainings and workshops for employees and managers focusing on areas across DEI and organizational culture to help foster and promote an inclusive workplace culture and culture of belonging;
    • establishes and oversees a well-being program that supports the holistic health and wellness of our employees; reinforcing a culture of appreciation and acknowledgment.
  • Oversees community health initiatives for the organization, including outreach efforts and coordination of partnership opportunities with community stakeholders for collaborative service delivery related to community health and harm reduction programs.
  • Partners with external organizations and community groups to support DEI efforts, community health programming, and build relationships with diverse communities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
General Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities RequiredProven experience in Culture Development, Employee Engagement, DEI initiatives, and Internal Communications required. Strong leadership, change management and project management capabilities required. Must possess excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Must possess demonstrated cultural humility in all facets of diversity and organizational culture. Must be able to react to change and stress productively and handle other related tasks as assigned. Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment in carrying out the responsibilities of the position. Knowledge of Community Health Needs Assessment functions preferred. Demonstrated understanding of behavioral healthcare including barriers associated with access to care, stigma, and trauma-informed care preferred. Experience in managing a mentorship program preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONSProfessional office environment; exposure to computer screens; work closely with others; sitting for prolonged periods of time; may be required to stand, stoop, push, pull, bend, and lift and move light objects, such as records and boxes; manual dexterity required. Maintain mental capacity that permits making sound judgments regarding work and have regular attendance. The employee is expected to adhere to all agency policies and procedures.
Requirements/QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Human Capital Management, Organizational Development / Psychology, Nonprofit Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
Technical certificate in related field preferred.
Amount of Travel: Minimal to moderate, mostly confined to local travel.
