The Assistant Designer will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and organizational support to the Design Department, with a primary focus on data management and clerical duties and a secondary focus on design with mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the senior designer with sketching of the product line
- Create and maintain tech packs, line sheets, and all visual files for design presentations
- Collaborate & communicate with tech, sourcing, and vendor base daily
- Collaborate in approvals of submits for fabrics, trims, colors, and fits
- Attend all design related meetings and assist with preparation and organization
- Work with tech team and senior designer for training in flat sketching, fitting, and communication of design intents to all departments involved in approval processes
- Meet all internal deadlines as planned
- 0-2 years of experience
- Proficient in Creative Suite including AI and PS
- Knowledge of CAD sketching
- Must be organized, dependable, flexible, and responsible
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Self-starter who sets high goals and works hard to achieve them
- Tolerates uncertainty and can change priorities in a fast-paced environment
