Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the Trainer position are to provide comprehensive support for all operational functions within the Visalia Distribution Center. This role involves performing daily activities in strict adherence to quality procedures and established safety standards at the facility. The Trainer will teach associates job functions through demonstration and coaching to bring all our VF associates up to VF’s Base Plus standards.
Essential Job Functions
Demonstrate leadership qualities through exemplary work ethics, including timely responsiveness to requests from facility management and corporate personnel.
Collaborate positively and efficiently with colleagues on an ongoing basis.
Carry out data entry responsibilities while maintaining a commitment to data accuracy.
Contribute to the smooth workflow by upholding precision and practicing effective communication.
Help in various clerical functions as required.
Exhibit sound and logical decision-making abilities.
Manage multiple tasks effectively, including handling special projects.
Uphold a level of performance consistent with the policies and procedures outlined for the role.
Support the Distribution Center in sustainability initiatives across all areas.
Demonstrate adeptness in multitasking.
Possess the capability to comprehend and interpret warehouse processes and concepts.
Work utilizing the current Warehouse Management System (AS400)
Utilize RF system (Wearable, Hand-held devices)
Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Maintains an acceptable level of performance as deemed acceptable by the policy and procedures set up.
Ensure equipment is maintained in the warehouse.
Support DC in sustainability efforts in all areas.
Detail-oriented – Need to follow detailed instructions.
Goal-oriented – Striving to meet department expectations and exceed department standards.
Flexible – willingness to flow with the work requirement. Willingness to cross-train and help other departments when work is light. Start times are dependent on volume. Must be willing to adjust start times and work Holidays if volume demands are high.
Train associates in all areas of the DC’s job functions, which include but are not limited to the following:
Receiving: Unloading, Off stacking/ palletizing, Put aways, pulling task/ letdown.
Inventory: Cycle counting, Cancels, pull and pack, pull and consume, overages, Case creation.
Inbound QA: Audits, Ecom returns, wholesale returns, Rework.
Active pick towers: Replenishments, Picking, Packing.
VAS: Seeding, VAS.
Sorter: Induction, packing, Box setup, Jamming, decanting.
DTC: VAS, Seeding.
Shipping: Trouble, LPA; taping, verifying, packing slips, Diverts, loads.
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills for Success
High school diploma or equivalent education; Associate degree preferred.
Minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.
AS400/PKMS or WMS (Warehouse Management System) knowledge.
Ability to use basic computer skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow up organized daily production schedules.
Manage and support multiple tasks.
Ability to interpret and understand warehouse processes and concepts.
Must work well in a team environment.

Hiring Range : $16.85 USD - $21.06 USD per hour
Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
