We are seeking a skillful technician to maintain the TE tools our lab developed. The position can also develop new tools to enhance our capabilities in annotating TEs and repetitive sequences.
Required: High School diploma or GED.
Desired: B.S. in STEM field by the start date, M.S. in STEM is preferred.
Additional InformationAn exciting opportunity is available for a Research Technician in Dr. Shujun Ou's Laboratory at the Department of Molecular Genetics at The Ohio State University. The Ou Lab has great traditions for its development of highly accurate and scalable genomic tools, with significant contributions to Transposable Elements (TE) annotations. Led by Dr. Shujun Ou, who has over a decade of experience in genomic tool development, our lab is an emerging leader in its field evidenced by the widespread citation of our tools. We are a highly diverse and supportive group with a genuine interest in the success of our trainees. The pay range for this job profile is $15.70 - $20.67. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
