What you would be doing: 

As an Activities Driver, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with our residents as you drive them to appointments and social events and activities and assist them in safe riding practices and when getting in and out of the vehicle. 

What your work schedule would be: 

This full time position works a set schedule with some minor variations in start and end time and break times. This position will occasionally require a schedule shift to accommodate evening, weekend and holiday activities.

The successful candidate: 

• must possess a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement valid in the State of Michigan with three years’ experience. 

• is CPR and first aid certified and preferably holds a valid Michigan CNA Certification. 

• has a high school diploma or GED equivalent. 

• must possess and maintain a safe driving record and have the mechanical skills necessary to check the vehicle to ensure it is in a safe operating condition. Must be knowledgeable of safe driving techniques and have the ability to diagnose mechanical problems and check repair work would be a preferred asset in this position. 

• has the temperament and good judgment to deal with senior adults with a sense of customer service and remain resilient during unplanned circumstances and have the ability to work well under pressure.
