We are seeking a full-time Patient Services Specialist to join our large Gastroenterology clinic located in the Gateway district of NE Portland (near the MAX line). You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.
Our busy practice receives a high volume of patient appointments and calls, and we are searching for a candidate that is a self-starter, with a positive attitude, who can work independently, and has a customer-focused work ethic. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience in medical scheduling, can communicate and type simultaneously while navigating a schedule, and excels at multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
Primary duties include accurately scheduling appointments for new and established patients in an efficient and timely manner, obtaining and completing insurance information, answering phones, updating records as needed, and other duties as assigned. This position is currently phone based but may require scheduling patients in the office and is very high volume; therefore, excellent customer services skills and communication skills are required.
Workdays will be Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm.
Hiring pay based on open position, experience, and credentials:
Level I - $18.33- $24.81 per hour.
Level II - $20.17 - $27.29 per hour.
Level III - $22.18 - $30.01 per hour.
Placement within levels based on specialty group, experience, additional duties.
Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.
Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of medical front office experience preferred
• Knowledge of basic computer applications; prior experience with Centricity preferred
• Excellent phone skills and customer service skills
• Excellent attendance and work ethic
• Positive attitude and desire to be a team player
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, staff, and providers
