The Oregon Clinic is Hiring a Physician Associate for Gen. Surgery and Burn Specialists (N Portland) Near Portland, OR

We are seeking a full-time Physician Associate to join our General Surgery and Burn Specialists Clinic in North Portland. You will work with exceptional physicians who value their team and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.

Our practice is a division of The Oregon Clinic, the largest physician-owned multispecialty group in Oregon. Our physicians staff The Legacy Oregon Burn Center, an American Burn Association Verified Burn Unit, which is part of the Legacy Health System in Portland, Oregon. We provide a wide range of services including general and burn surgery, critical care of burn patients, and wound and scar management, including laser surgery. We average 250 acute care burn admissions per year, with an additional 150 admissions for related conditions. Our patient population is about 25% pediatrics. We also treat many outpatients averaging 1500 clinic visits per year. Our clinic practice is conveniently located on the same campus as our inpatient burn center. Legacy Health System has close affiliations with Oregon Health & Sciences University and other health systems in the region. We actively participate in the training of surgical residents, medical students, and physician assistant students.

Primary duties include specialty care services, including assessing and managing patients, while following established standards and practices. New grads welcome to apply!

Call rotation still to be determined but should be limited.

Workdays will be Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Starting pay range, based on license and experience: $115,000 - $173,000/annually.

Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.

Qualifications: 

  • Successful completion of an accredited PhysicianAssociate program and current Oregon PA license
  • Prior experience working with Electronic Medical Records strongly preferred, specifically EPIC
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and office staff, patients and their families
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
