About The Outer Banks Hospital
The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.
OBH is fully accredited, provides high quality care in a compassionate environment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care.
Position Summary
The care partner performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse and functions within the framework of hospital standards and values. The Care Partner will be expected to perform all tasks as outlined in the NC Board of Nursing CNA II scope of practice list. Care Partner may also be required to handle administrative tasks and perform diverse duties for nursing department.
Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent , Successful completion of Nursing Assistant II Course, current certification as CNAI and CNAII in the state of North Carolina, current listing on the CNAII Registry with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Successful completion of Phlebotomy training, including didactic and clinical demonstration of phlebotomy in the clinical field.
Successful completion of EKG training.
Experience: 6 months experience as CNAII . American Heart Association BLS certification is required upon hire.
Current American Heart Association CPR is required.
