The Parent Child Center of Tulsa is Hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician (Part-Time) Near Tulsa, OK

JOB SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a member of the Operations Team and plays a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, proactive maintenance and continuous improvement of The Parent Child Center of Tulsa facilities. Key responsibilities include performing routine and proactive maintenance indoors and outdoors, managing service tickets, coordinating with vendors, conducting inspections, and actively participating in safety initiatives to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for PCCT staff, service recipients, and stakeholders. The technician will manage maintenance needs, mitigate risks, lead safety and emergency response efforts, and identify opportunities for facility improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. Additionally, the technician will manage various facility-related projects, supporting the overall mission of the organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Routine and Proactive Maintenance: Perform regular and preventive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs to ensure the ongoing functionality of the facilities.
  2. Service Ticket Management: Monitor and address maintenance service tickets submitted by staff, ensuring timely and effective resolution of facility issues.
  3. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors for specialized maintenance and repair work, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  4. Inspections: Conduct monthly and quarterly facility inspections, document findings, and implement corrective actions to maintain safety and compliance. Partner with property management at leased PCCT locations to ensure safety and compliance.
  5. Safety and Emergency Response Initiatives: Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives, fostering a culture of safety among staff, service recipients, and stakeholders. Lead safety efforts within the organization, serving as a Safety Leader and member of the safety committee. Support the development of emergency response plans, implement emergency response plans, plan and coordinate required drills, ensuring all facilities are prepared for potential emergencies.
  6. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to facility operations through proactive maintenance planning and maintaining accurate records of risk assessments and actions taken.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings to enhance facility efficiency and effectiveness. Participate in initiatives to support a culture of high performance and continuous improvement efforts.
  8. Project Oversight: Lead and oversee various facility-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
  9. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, safety procedures, and project progress, providing regular reports to the Director of Operations.
  10. General Support: Assist with facility-related projects and initiatives, providing support during events and special projects.
  11. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with team members, management, and external vendors, ensuring smooth facility operations and safety compliance. Work closely with other departments to ensure coordinated efforts in maintaining and improving facility operations.
  12. Demonstrate the agency values of compassion, respect, learning, adaptability, and achievement
  13. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
  3. Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs., frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching to perform maintenance tasks, ability to climb ladders and work at heights, and the use of hand tools and power tools for extended periods.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Technical training or certification in a related field.
  2. Strong understanding of safety and risk management practices.
  3. Prior experience in a social services environment
