ROLE YOU WILL PLAY Seeking an Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Airframe Engineer or Senior Airframe Engineer.

The ideal candidates with have experience in preliminary and detailed structural design, with a working knowledge of structural analysis. The company's ongoing program is focused on the design, fabrication, and test of an advanced composite low-weight unmanned aircraft. The successful candidate can come from either automobile or aerospace industries and will perform tasks in all phases of airframe design, analysis and test including:
New Airframe (Aircraft/UAS/Automotive Airframe) concept to design prototyping to manufacturing experience.
Load-Path Determination
Basic Structural Analysis
New aircraft or auto prototyping AND design for Manufacturing
Supplier Management
Knowledge of other UAS systems such as rotors and transmission design is a plus
BACKGROUND PROFILE
Minimum of 3 years of experience in airframe or vehicle engineering.
Worked with new concepts mono cockpit designs of either aircraft or motor vehicle
SolidWorks and/or CATIA design experience is required (5000 hours). SolidWorks is a must.
3-D Solid modelling experience.
Surfacing experience.
Fundamental knowledge of Metallic and Composite Stress analysis.
Familiarity with military structural qualification standards is a plus.
BS or MS in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
