Job Description: Host/Host
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the establishment
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or waiting areas
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Answer phone calls and provide information to callers in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with prompt resolution
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Operate Aloha POS system for order entry and payment processing
Skills:
- Excellent customer service and guest relations skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Phone etiquette and professional demeanor when interacting with guests over the phone
