IT Network System Analyst
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Network System Analyst must satisfy the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred; and five years of experience developing and implementing networking projects and modern technology implementations; VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory, Cisco networking, and Windows server experience preferred.
SUMMARY
The Network System Analyst designs builds, and implements network systems across the enterprise. The roles of this position include planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, corporate servers, associated software, and communication links. This position troubleshoots network performance issues, analyzes network traffic, and provides capacity planning solutions. This position diagnoses, resolves, and documents hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provides end-user training and support where required in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of our client.

The Network System Analyst must possess the following skills and attributes: planning; recordkeeping; reporting; training; answering the phone; filing; typing; programming; calculating; problem solving; reasoning; performing preventive maintenance; reading - basic and technical; writing - basic and technical; word processing; manipulating spreadsheets; working with computer operating systems and networking hardware.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Network System Analyst performs the following essential functions:
REQUIRED WORK HOURS
A minimum of forty hours per week, plus other after-hours as may be necessary to complete job duties. A combination of day, evening, and weekend hours is required. Must be able to periodically take weekend call duties.
REPORTING AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Network System Analyst reports to the IT Manager. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The Network System Analyst must be able to speak, hear, see, read, write, type, dial, reach, and bend. This position also requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
TRAVEL
Periodic travel, including airline travel and overnight stays, may be required.
