They are seeking an ambitious and experienced Director of IT to lead their technology department, drive IT strategy, and ensure the seamless operation of their IT infrastructure.

Job Summary:

The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT operations, including the full administration of the Blue Cherry ERP system and managing network and infrastructure for a 60-employee company. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of current technology trends, and the ability to manage third-party vendors and service providers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex IT projects, optimizing systems for efficiency, and leading a diverse team of IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership

  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strategize on improvements to the tech stack to support continued growth and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Pave the way for the future use of AI and understand e-commerce infrastructure needs.

IT Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the reliability and performance of all IT systems.
  • Manage the Blue Cherry ERP system, network, and infrastructure for the company.
  • Provide level one tech support and ensure the maintenance, upgrade, and support of all IT infrastructure, including PCs and Microsoft environments.
  • Manage IT budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize costs and performance.
  • Responsible for IT P&L and establishing IT protocols.

Vendor and Third-Party Management

  • Manage third-party vendors and service providers who handle servers, cybersecurity, and other outsourced services.
  • Ensure strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.

Project Management

  • Lead IT projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Manage the deployment of new systems and technologies, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Oversee API management and integrations to ensure seamless connectivity and functionality.

Security and Compliance

  • Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities, implementing robust security measures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management role.
  • Consumer Product Good wholesale/distribution industry experience a MUST
  • Proven experience with the full administration of Blue Cherry ERP system, required!
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and security best practices.
  • Experience managing cloud services, virtualization technologies, and software development.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing APIs and integrations.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, PMP, ITIL) are a plus.
