The Plum Tree Group is Hiring an E-commerce Manager Near Florida, NY

Job Title: eCommerce Manager

Overview: As an Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire operation of our owned online stores, which includes managing the website, handling the product catalog, and ensuring that the checkout process is efficient. You will manage alternative shopping channels, including Amazon. Your focus will be on tracking, analyzing, and optimizing the online sales process, user experience, and managing daily ecommerce operations to drive sales.

You must be fluent in the areas outlined in “Key Responsibilities” and will be expected to complete the tasks yourself and / or supervise internal and external personnel as they complete the tasks. Your role will require close collaboration with the eMarketing Manager, and you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, IT, and operations to align ecommerce initiatives with overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

E-commerce Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement ecommerce strategies to drive online sales growth and achieve business objectives.
  • Record and refine best practices to support the corporate goal of making ecommerce strategy repeatable across several websites.

Website Management:

  • Manage the company's ecommerce websites, ensuring optimal functionality, site maps, user experience, and performance.
  • Monitor and optimize the site for SEO and SEM relevancy and performance.
  • Collaborate and manage web developers and designers to build new ecommerce websites and implement updates and enhancements for existing sites.
  • Coordinate and prioritize provisioning of website assets such as hero, navigational, instructional and SKU graphics, marketing and policy copy, and SKU merchandising. Collaborate with the eMarketing Manager to assure brand consistency with off-website advertising and brand messaging.

Product Information Management:

  • Oversee product listings, descriptions, SKU name and construction (Parent, Child, options), and imagery to ensure accuracy, consistency, and optimization for search engines.
  • Monitor product availability, inventory levels, and pricing to maximize sales and minimize stockouts.

Customer Experience Optimization:

  • Continuously improve the online shopping experience to enhance customer satisfaction and retention, including proactive improvements and coordination of troubleshooting response.
  • Implement best practices for customer service, order fulfillment, shipping, and returns processing.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Monitor store key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales revenue, conversion rates, average order value, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Analyze and optimize search engine and digital marketing channels key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost per acquisition, conversion rates, sales funnel, and attribution.
  • Analyze ecommerce data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Report summaries and make available real time analytics to management and the eMarketing Manager. Develop and implement strategies to strengthen analytics capabilities and usefulness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Ecommerce, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in ecommerce management, preferably with ecommerce stores utilizing long tail strategies, products with parent child SKU relationships, and advanced product customizer functionality.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms, technologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and ecommerce software. Big Commerce experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
