The Progress Center Inc is Hiring a Manager of Children’s Case Management Services Near Oxford, ME

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide services and enhance the lives of the consumers we serve. All work reflects the mission and vision of the Progress Center.
This position is to provide leadership for the Children's Targeted Case Management and Behavioral Health Home programs. The Manager may also maintain an active caseload based on program need.
Reports To: Director of Case Management and Children's Services
Duties
  • Collaborate with Director of Human Resources and Agency Recruiter to identify staff needed to fill positions, complete the hiring and onboarding process; as well as, provide orientation training to Targeted Case Managers and Behavioral Health Home Coordinators.
  • Prepare and submit reports (billing, monthly report cards, documentation tracking, ) in a timely fashion.
  • Collaborate with Team Lead regarding administrative duties to ensure they are completed within expected timeframes.
  • Field inquiries about services and assign cases for case management. Ensure that intake procedures are followed and necessary paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely
  • Monitor and manage authorizations in Acentra. Optimize utilization of billable units and ensure employees work within billable hours expectation within case management programs.
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote Children's Case Management services to schools, doctor offices, day care centers, agencies, etc.
  • Stay current with any departmental, state and federal changes.
  • Participate in developing and meeting agency and departmental strategic
  • Update, maintain and develop department procedures as necessary to ensure consistency in practice and compliance.
  • Ensure that all Children's Case Management files are up to date and maintained in accordance with licensing and program standards.
  • Collaborate with Manager of Quality Assurance and Program Specialist to ensure documentation and note audits are completed as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with Team Lead to assist with providing training to new employees and ongoing professional development for existing staff members as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Director of Children's Case Management and Finance to create and adhere to annual department budget.
  • Ensure that all documentation for clients and employees meet MaineCare regulations for sections 13 and 92.
  • Attend Agency and DHHS provider meetings and trainings.
  • Ensure that DHHS QA procedures are adhered to as outlined.
Supervisor: The Manager of Children's Case Management provides direct supervision to all Children's Case Managers and Team Lead
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Administratively supervise all direct reports and Team Lead to ensure they are in compliance with their job responsibilities and are accountable for their work performance.
  • Provide all direct reports with monthly supervision with note, annual assessment/supervision with note and corrective actions when necessary.
  • Monitor clinical supervision to ensure it occurs on a bi-weekly basis and all participants sign the clinical note.
  • Schedule and attend monthly staff meetings and trainings.
  • Coordinate monthly consultation meetings with all members of the Behavioral Health Home Team.
  • Oversight of staff development
  • Interview, select, and orient direct reports and provide a 90-day assessment and supervision upon
General
  • Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as regards services for persons with developmental or intellectual disabilities or autism or mental health disorders, including rights of recipients and mandatory reporting.
  • Comply with Office of Office of Family Services and Department of Human Services
  • Demonstrate respect and add value to the lives of those we support
  • Fulfill all training requirements
  • Participate as a member of the Team
Qualifications
  • Licensed Social Worker, Conditionally Licensed Social Worker preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Four years' experience supervising
  • At least four years' experience in the Intellectual Disability/ Autism field
  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record and reliable transportation (up to date inspection, registration and insurance meeting Maine state requirements) to be available for use during work hours

Abilities: This position requires the ability to function comfortably both independently and in a team in environment, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels. Exceptional organization, communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Must have supervisory experience. Attention to detail is imperative for the success of this position. Proficiency with electronic software (Microsoft Office Suite) and electronic health records. Strong writing, typing and organizational skills are necessary. Strong interpersonal skills, and a professional presentation are required.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described herein are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job and include climbing stairs regularly, carrying and lifting materials weighing up to 25 lbs, bending and stretching.
Mental Demands: Must be able to assume a wide range of responsibilities, be self-directed, and effectively work within a busy and demanding environment.

Employees may also be required to follow additional confidentiality policies and practices required by certain programs or business units.
Work Environment: The Manager of Children's Case Management Services will primarily work from The Progress Center Campus at 5 Fore Street, Oxford location with potential travel to other locations, such as, Gray, Bridgton or Norway.
Job Performance Evaluation: The employee will be evaluated at 90 days and annually thereafter unless performance warrants more frequent evaluations.
Employment Conditions: This is a full time exempt position with fringe benefits as outlined in the personnel policies. Automobile liability coverage must be maintained on vehicle. An initial background check will be completed to ensure the employee meets the standards set by the agency and throughout employment as outlined in Personnel Polices to ensure continued integrity of the employee.
Employee must have access to a computer on a daily basis.
