POSITION SUMMARY

PositionSummary

TheSales Specialist is responsible for increasing initial in-person presentations andmove-ins within their portfolio of communities from assigned lead sources.

PrimaryResponsibilities

The following duties are normal for thisposition. This list is not to beconstrued as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Responds immediately to new inquiries through a variety of contact methods; including responding outside of standard business hours
  • Enters all leads into the CRM and uses it as the primary record for all lead interaction
  • Follows up with leads until a voice-to-voice or email exchange takes place
  • Qualifies customer needs; works with referral agency to determine best options
  • Schedules sales appointments for the community sales team; establishes a work schedule most responsive to the needs of the resident and family members.
  • Remains the primary point of contact with the customer until the relationship is successfully transitioned to the community sales team
  • Pre-qualifies potential customers so that sales efforts expended are in proportion to their urgency and appropriateness for the community.
  • Identifies/anticipates customer’s needs, eliciting ideas, feelings, and perceptions from others. Probes to identify the needs and goals of potential customers.
  • Visits communities monthly, fills in for on-site sales positions when needed.
  • Recommends solutions that match customer needs; overcomes objections by demonstrating benefits to customers and negotiating a mutually beneficial outcome.
  • Attends weekly sales and marketing meetings (by phone if not in person) , reports monthly inquiry, appointments, as well as other sales activity.
  • Always acts professionally and honestly in the representation of the Community.
  • Maintains anaccurate, complete, and up-to-date database, in CRM, of contacts and activity.
  • Keeps updated on relevant operational, competitive,and community information to respond effectively to residents, prospects, families,and the general public.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individualmust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below arerepresentative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Education andExperience Required

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Two to three years direct customer sales experience with a record of meeting or exceeding sales performance goals.
  • Prior experience in a senior living sales environment preferred.
