Overview:
The Pump House, a busy ice cream shop in downtown Grand Haven, is searching for a General Manager to lead our team in a fun, creative and positive environment. We are looking for a hardworking, upbeat person who possesses excellent leadership skills and an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of a restaurant.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Oversee: Pastry Chef, Shift Leaders and Team Members

● Interview, hire and train new employees

● Coach and mentor employees as needed

● Ensure Customer Experience is the #1 driving factor

● Write schedules and place food and supply orders

● Prioritize staff to keep the dining room clean and sanitary

● Foster a climate of fun and pumpiness throughout the shop

● Inspect all equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality

● Maintain a cleaning and maintenance schedule

● Meet or exceed all health code and safety standards

● Identify ways to maintain and reduce costs

● Perform employee reviews

Applicant Qualifications:

● One or more years of retail or restaurant general manager experience

● Willingness to be a “hands on” manager

● Positive attitude

● Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a young team effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
