The Queen's University Medical Group is Hiring a Medical Director, Transplant Program Near Honolulu, HI
The Queen’s University Medical Group is seeking a Medical Director for the Queen’s Transplant Program. Ideal candidates will be a proven leader with at least five (5) years of experience leading a transplant program or division. The candidate must:
Have completed an ASTS-approved transplant fellowship program
Experience in adult kidney and liver transplant surgery
Be well versed in all phases of the transplant process
Be willing to perform general, some laparoscopic, hepatobiliary, and vascular access surgeries
Committed to excellence in quality and outcome
Have outstanding communication skills for collaboration and teaching
Be skilled and experienced in laparoscopic living donor nephrectomies
Be willing to participate in organ recovery services with the local OPO
Have some affinity and ties to Hawaii for long-term commitment to our community
Be willing to take a fair share of service calls
Participate in program development, quality improvement, and outreach
Board-certified in general surgery
ASTS certified fellowship completed and meet certification requirements for kidney and liver transplant
Eligible for medical licensure in Hawaii
Five (5) years of experience leading a transplant program or division
Base salary begins at $451,769/year with opportunity for productivity and quality incentives.
