Position: Construction Project Manager

Starting Date: Position to be filled upon finding a qualified candidate

Type: Full-time

Reports to: General Manager

Salary range: (Commensurate with experience), $70,000- $95,000 range

Position Summary:

The Raleigh Construction Company is seeking a Construction Project Manager with a passion and work ethic for building well-crafted and thoughtfully designed buildings to join our fast-growing team. The Construction Project Manager role is a full-time role responsible for the overall direction of High-End Residential, Townhome, and Light Commercial projects in the Triangle area. We are looking for a dedicated professional with the mindset of always leaving things better than how they found them.

Description of Duties:

  • Project Management, including: Contract bidding and negotiating; Subcontractor bidding and negotiating; Coordination of subcontractors-schedule management-coordination of materials orders, take offs, and budgeting-financial management in conjunction with project administrator; Coordination of submittals/ procurement in conjunction with estimator; Site management and maintenance as required, ensuring safety, cleanliness, organization, security, etc. is managed; Client interface onsite and in monthly office meetings; Participate as needed during marketing promotions and events for construction networking; Enforce Owner and Subcontractor Contract requirements/ process; Report project status to GM weekly, Partners monthly; Coordination with The Raleigh Architecture Company (RACo) staff as required
  • Protection of company assets
  • Maintenance of company office and shop facilities
  • General office administration as required

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relative professional work experience, including construction management, site supervision, subcontractor scheduling and communication, financial management.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive team environment
  • Familiarity working with detailed architectural drawings and specifications
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in the following software: MS Office Products; Bluebeam Revu; Procore
  • Strong ability to communicate and work well with others, including clients
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to be self-motivated, a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly
  • Familiarity working with Owner and Architect Contracts, including preparation before operations, and execution of them after signature
  • 10 Hour OSHA Certificate completed or scheduled
  • Personal vehicle required
  • Physical requirements to fulfill essential job functions - Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand for up to 9 hours a day. Ability to operate tools and other business machines with hands, fingers, reaching of arms. Ability to climb stairs, including temporary access by means and methods to inspect work installed by Subcontractors. Talk to and hear others at a level that ensures clear communication. See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus. Frequently move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Civil Engineering preferred, though equivalent or related work experience will be taken into consideration.
