Job Description Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner Location: Concord, NC Pay: $75k - $80k plus generous benefits Position Type: Full-time, permanent placement To be successful in the role of HR Business Partner you will be goal-oriented, driven, and enjoy being part of a growing manufacturing company supporting a local site, and supporting the international corporate operation in Europe as needed. In this role you will directly manage the day-to-day functions of the human resources department including full cycle recruitment, employee onboarding and orientation, benefits and payroll administration, employee relations and conflict resolution, and policy and employee development. You will work closely with an HR services provider and assist in accurately maintaining the HRIS system and related records. You'll promptly answer/respond to employee questions with the goal of maximizing productivity and increasing employee engagement and retention. You will partner with leadership to maximize the contribution of all employees, leveraging your confidence and professionalism to guide, motivate and influence the entire workforce to make decisions that represent the best interests of the employees and business. You will be required to have significant knowledge in the principles and practices of talent management and human resources administration, in addition to excellent problem solving and communication skills. Your ability to build strong professional working relationships by engaging and understanding people will serve you well. Routine responsibilities will require you to: Partner with local leaders and the European leadership to understand and execute the goals of the organization's human resources and talent strategies focused on current and future talent needs, recruitment, retention, and succession planning Redesign and refine employee policies and procedures, improving and/or recommending new processes and policies Oversee employee relations such as conducting coaching sessions with managers, providing mediation and conflict management through employee counseling sessions, responding to employee grievances, conducting employee disciplinary meetings, assisting managers in the creation of performance improvement plans, investigating for wrongdoing or policy violation, and managing employee terminations and separations Provide support and guidance related to those involved in complex, confidential, sensitive and delicate circumstances and situations Manage the talent acquisition process relationship with recruitment firms, job description creation and posting, resume review and candidate screenings, understanding hiring managers' unique needs and scheduling interviews, and extending offers to candidates Manage the onboarding and orientation process including processing of background and drug screenings, collecting new hire paperwork, coordinating first day information and executing employee agreements, completing the new hire process in the Company's HRIS system, and completing I-9 and E-Verify documentation Oversee payroll and benefit administration including processing bi-weekly payroll, managing unemployment tax accounts, managing benefit plans with the designated benefits broker, and maintaining benefit invoice reconciliation Continue the development and implementation of employee engagement program to perpetuate a healthy company culture Maintain employee personnel files and documentation in accordance with record retention regulations Work with the Safety Coordinator and participate in accident prevention and investigations, safety programs, and maintain OSHA logs, injury reporting, and workers compensation benefits Provide leadership with HR-related reporting such as quarterly payroll reports, forecasting employee compensation, updating organization charts, etc. Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance Perform other duties as assigned Required education and experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field 5 years of experience handling human resources related responsibilities in a manufacturing and/or production environment SHRM-CP or PHR certification highly desired Understanding and experience working with international corporate ownership Through knowledge of employment related laws and regulations Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influence others demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Excellent organizational skills, time management practices, and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software If you have the required skills and experience as outlined above, please click APPLY NOW.
