Human Resources Manager
Location: Monroe, NC
Pay: $82k - $87k, plus generous benefits
Position Type: Full-time, permanent placement
Our team at The Recruiting Pros is conducting a high-priority search for a talented Human Resources Manager on behalf of a world-class custom manufacturer located in Monroe, NC. In this hands-on role you will oversee the development, implementation and administration of programs, procedures and processes related to human capital for the company, directly supporting approximately 110 employees located in Monroe, NC, Oskaloosa, IA and remote employees working in sales, service and engineering positions across the US.
In this role you will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, coaching, training, employee relations and retention, safety and compliance as well as compensation and benefits (payroll is outsourced). As part of the leadership team, you will maintain a current understanding of the business needs of the company to provide timely and appropriate solutions to meet these needs.
This position is based in Monroe, NC and will require you to work onsite. You will also be required to travel to Oskaloosa, IA approximately one time per month. This is an immediate full-time, permanent placement position.
Routine responsibilities will require you to:
  • Understand, implement, and enforce all established safety, health, quality, and operational policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Interpret and apply company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs in accordance with applicable laws and company objectives; communicate changes/additions/deletions to appropriate parties.
  • Serve as the liaison between leadership and team members by responding in a timely manner to questions and/or concerns and assist in the resolution of employee related issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislation affecting human resources; inform leadership and monitor
  • company policies to ensure compliance.
  • Partner with plant leadership to establish appropriate staffing levels related to established budget.
  • Oversees preparation of current and accurate job descriptions and matching compensation programs; suggest incentive programs that encourage excellent performance and increase retention rates.
  • Drive successful recruitment, selection, and retention programs to meet staffing needs.
  • Plan and coordinate new employee onboarding to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Analyze training needs to design employee and leadership training and development as needed.
  • Maintain records and compile reports concerning personnel related data including new hires,
  • turnover, employee programs, performance appraisals, compensation and wage progression, and absenteeism.
  • Manage the investigation and administration of worker compensation claims, maintain up-to-date record keeping and documentation; represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Provide effective guidance and coaching to leadership relating employee concerns, problems, and disciplinary action to comply with company policies.
  • Work with finance team regarding the choice of benefits providers and scope of benefits offered; manage administration and implementation of benefits.
  • Participate in special projects related to other functional areas and perform other related duties as
  • assigned.
Required education and experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources management strongly preferred.
  • 5 years human resources management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems to manage and report on employee performance, compliance, etc.; experience using ADP considered a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint to gather and present information used in reporting, analysis, and presentation creation.
  • Ability to prioritize and strategize to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Ability to respond effectively and efficiently to shifting business needs and priorities.
  • Demonstratable experience as a self-starter, proactively meeting with stakeholders to anticipate evolving needs.
  • Ability to organize activities and execute plans across cross-functional departments.
  • Experience leading teams using change management skills with flexibility in approach to solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with leaders and team members.
