Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Candy Maker to join our team. As a Candy Maker, you will be responsible for producing high-quality candies and confections. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and adherence to food safety regulations.
Duties:
- Fabricate candies and confections according to established recipes and procedures
- Operate and maintain candy-making equipment
- Monitor cooking temperatures and adjust as needed
- Package finished products for distribution
- Follow FDA regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the production area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production processes
- Perform basic math calculations for ingredient measurements and recipe scaling
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production, preferably in the candy or confectionery industry
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to food processing and safety
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Basic math skills for ingredient measurements and recipe scaling
- Familiarity with food industry standards and practices
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs
Note: All positions at our company are paid, including internships.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
