JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cortland Thrifty Store is seeking a Full-time Sales Associate I. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and driving sales in a retail environment. This position requires a high level of product knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate with customers to identify their needs and recommend products that meet those needs. The Sales Associate I will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, restocking merchandise, and processing transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide excellent customer service to all customers
Identify customer needs and recommend products that meet those needs
Process transactions accurately and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized store
Restock merchandise as needed
Assist with inventory management
Meet and exceed sales goals
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior retail sales experience preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening shift and weekends
Ability to work on Friday & Saturday
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Pay Range: $15 per hour
