Position Summary
The job of Assistant Warehouse Manager was established for the purpose of providing support to the Warehouse Manager as well to all the warehouse staff. The Assistant Warehouse Manager provides supervisory and administrative support in the day-to-day management of the warehouse and operations. This position is responsible for safe product movement, inventory and service tasks as well as ensuring proper documentation and administration. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized, well-kept warehouse.
Major Responsibilities
Assist current Operations Manager with the following responsibilities:

• Help set standards for the warehouse operations
• Coordinate night shift warehouse activities
• Coordinate and supervise night shift warehouse personnel
• Help plan warehouse meetings
• Schedule all customer deliveries on a daily basis
• Provide leadership for warehouse-related activities
• Help Organize and supervise work flow
• Keep track of and follow up on the “shipping error log”
• Establish & maintain appropriate reports
• Organize work plans and schedules
• Check emails & delegate responsibilities
• Check on the status of orders and delivery routes for the day
• Help ensure aisle assignments are completed and tasks are completed by staff
• Direct and assist on general work flow
• Help coordinate stockers and pickers
• Assist & coordinate all deliveries, hot shots and pick-ups with the shipping dept
• Help employees follow assigned tasks and work schedules
• Help employees locate material. Maintenance/back order if needed and notify CSR via email. Coordinate missing material with buyer
• Assign special task and projects to employees
• Oversee packing and labelling of material in staged areas
• Calculate weights to ensure trucks are not over loaded
• Help oversee open orders in pick stage
• Help oversee warehouse transfers in order, picked, shipped, pre-received and exception stage

Other Responsibilities

• Assists in any and all warehouse duties on an as-needed basis

Professional Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 - 5 years of experience
• Possess basic knowledge of warehouse operations
• Knowledge of basic electrical products
• Ability to communicate clearly orally and written
• Good problem-solving skills
