Job Overview:
Responsible for the operation and management of the housekeeping and laundry departments. The Executive Housekeepers' primary focus will be to ensure cleanliness, order, and high standards of service are maintained in guest rooms and public areas. The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the management and supervision of housekeeping staff, sets operational standards, and collaborates with other departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and policies to ensure efficient operations
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping team, including room attendants, laundry staff, and housekeeping supervisors.
- Provide effective leadership to the housekeeping team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Assigns work assignments to staff and confers with department supervisors to verify all assigned duties are completed within specified time frame.
- Performs monthly inventory of supplies and linen. Shares inventory with upper management to ensure the appropriate level of supplies are adhered to. Maintains linens at specified par levels.
- Coaches and counsels department staff. Properly takes appropriate action in instances of employee disciplinary action. Documents any verbal or written disciplinary action. Involves and informs AGM and/or Innkeeper after progressive counseling.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment within the housekeeping department.
- Establish and communicate clear performance expectations and standards for cleanliness.
- Provide ongoing training to housekeeping staff to maintain high-quality service standards.
- Consistent collaboration with other departments to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations and guidelines, including OSHA standards and local health department requirements.
- Responsible for the production and upkeep of laundry for both guest room and restaurant needs
- Audits laundry supply levels. Ensures that both sets of washing and drying equipment are operational and performing to their expected levels.
- Responsible for collaborating with restaurant staff to prepare and maintain restaurant linen.
- Ensures that the expected or requested number of linen needed for the restaurant and/or events are cleaned and prepared by specified time.
- Creates quarterly cleaning projects and tasks
- Establishes a routine for deep cleanings. Rotating deep clean schedule of rooms throughout each quarter to coincide with Maintenance departments rotating schedule of preventative maintenance.
- Responsible for overall cleaning and set up for the Chapel. Confers with restaurant and event staff to ensure expected cleaning is done before specified time frame.
Qualifications
- Core skills in cleaning, floor care, and hospitality
- Prior supervisory experience in leading a team
- Proficiency in janitorial, industrial cleaning, and custodial duties
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
