The Salvation Army Midland Division is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near St Louis, MO

The Salvation Army Midland Division is seeking an Human Resources Coordinator (onboarding specialist) that can work with the hiring manager to keep up with their hiring needs, post the position, follow up with the hiring manager as they select the candidate, follow through with hiring the candidate through the paperwork process through ADP Recruiting to become an employee. This position will need to multi-task and be detail orientated. We have seasonal highs and the environment can be stressful at times, especially leading up to Christmas. We have around 625 employees in 2 states, Illinois and Missouri and have approximately 27 units that this position will closely work with for hiring needs.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week located at 1130 Hampton Ave in St. Louis, MO. This position will pay $25.00 per hour and potentially more for the right candidate.
Below is a little more information that the position will be responsible for.
  • Create and post available employment opportunities to The Salvation Army website, along with other websites as directed by the hiring managers, using creative and unique ideas to attract qualified candidates.
  • Track active job postings to ensure positive momentum. Repost positions, as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and direction to hiring managers concerning the recruitment process.
  • Provide materials and answer basic questions for potential candidates concerning company benefits.
  • Track candidate progress during the onboarding process to ensure timely completion of necessary documents. Follow-up with candidates as needed to motivate finalization.
  • Assist candidates with any issues they experience during the recruiting and onboarding process.
  • Perform all tasks necessary to efficiently onboard new and returning employees.
  • Provide updates and reports to supervisor when requested.
  • Prepare TSAMM standard actions and agenda items for weekly Divisional Finance Board.
Minimum QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college desired.
Experience:
At least two years’ experience in an office setting, Human Resources preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Ideal candidate will have ADP Recruiting experience.
Skills/Abilities:
Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent data entry skills. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Requires strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet, and email.
