Key Responsibilities:The candidate will develop and nurture current and prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, government agencies, and corporations in an assigned geographic region of the Division.Respond to inquiries and communicate with donors, advisory organization members, Salvation Army employees and leaders. The position has direct oversight for a team of professionals and will be responsible for training, mentoring and accountability of its members. There is required day and overnight travel within the three-state region and covering these areas (Jackson, Vicksburg, Monroe, and Shreveport).This position will be based in Jackson, MS. Ability to sit, walk and stand on a frequent change basis in order to perform the duties of this position. Ability to lift objects weighing between 25-50 lbs. Must live in or be willing to relocate to the travel area required for the position. Ability to travel throughout the Division, by automobile, on a regular basis to work with Regional Resource Development Directors, their donors/prospects and professionals of their communities. Travel requirements are up to 60% of work time. May include overnight travel commitments. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
