The Sanitary Board of the City of Charleston, WV (CSB) is a municipal sewer utility serving Charleston and adjacent areas of Kanawha County, WV.

General Description:

The Charleston Sanitary Board is seeking a Surveyor I for its Engineering Department.

Essential Duties:

Responsible for conducting field survey work (conventional & GPS) for the collection of data for GIS mapping, land and right of ways, topographic mapping, construction layout, geodetic leveling and other related surveying activities required by the CSB.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to operate AutoCAD to create project maps and drawings.
  • Ability to operate total stations, engineer’s levels and GPS equipment.

Other Preferred Considerations:

  • Associate degree in surveying related field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience as a surveyor may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • WV Professional Surveyor License.

Salary and Benefits:
