We are currently recruiting for the position of:
Senior Manager, Organizational Development - Modesto, CA

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Talent Development, the Senior Manager of Organizational Development (OD) is responsible for five key areas; 1. Leadership Development with a focus on growing future talent pipelines, 2. Career Focused Communications; that help employees and managers recognize the emphasis we place on internal growth and development 3. Managing the Save Mart performance process with a focus on simplifying it, 4. Team buildings with an emphasis on custom design of content and team workshops to drive exceptional results, 5. Workforce Planning; helping our teams to think through their structure and design to help them grow.
Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Development
    • Design and delivery of manager and above level content across the organization based on aggregated data and a needs assessment
    • Design content and/or identify vendors to facilitate content for leaders, based on needs identified in calibration conversations
    • Provide excellent customer service to employees and managers; understanding business needs and proposing business-based solutions that solve challenges and build future leaders
  • Career Growth Communications
  • Own all Performance Process Communications
  • Own all Survey Communications
  • Design and deliver a monthly career development newsletter (in partnership with Corp Communications)
  • Partner with the internal communications team, and serve as the career growth and development guru across the organization
  • Performance Process Management
    • Goal setting, which should align with strategic priorities
    • Performance reviews; currently annual, with an emphasis on ongoing feedback
    • Design and deliver feedback and other manager and above training
    • Talent Reviews & Succession Planning; own the process, facilitate calibrations, and support the HRBPs and business throughout; providing exceptional internal customer support
  • Team Buildings
    • Partner closely with the HRBP team to understand areas where team collaboration and support may be of value to the business
    • Design custom content, to support the HRBP Team/Leaders, that helps support the business needs, helps to strengthen teams, and helps teams shift from great to exceptional team performance, emphasizing mutual accountability, open lines of communication and results!
    • Facilitate or co-facilitate team sessions, ideally using a personality assessment, and following a team building model
  • Workforce Design
  • Partner with HRBPs and senior leaders to identify areas where opportunities to grow, evolve team structures and break down where silos exist
  • Help senior leaders think through elements of headcount planning, people operations, and team structure to serve a best-in-class organization.
  • Talent Development Team Projects
  • Support projects within the Talent Development team

Hiring pay range: $104,768.00 - 117,874.00
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Track record of designing, and facilitating content to managers
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications; have experience writing newsletters or company-wide communications
  • Experience owning the performance process at a mid-large sized company
  • Experience building and facilitating team buildings, and custom programs
  • Data-Driven; A strong desire to understand the business, lead with data, and build business cases
  • Deep Partnership with the HRBP Team, and other key stakeholders; must-have a proven track record of connecting with, gaining buy-in from and building trusted partnerships with the HRBP Team
  • Amazing can-do attitude: you don't have to have every skill listed, but a deep desire to figure out things, and be creative as necessary
  • Experience with Workforce planning and organizational design preferred
Experience: 7 years progressive experience in Organizational Development and Manager Development
Education: 4 Year/Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent experience/training in Organizational Development, HR, Journalism, Communications or related field
Licenses and Certifications: Certification in Coaching, Personality assessments, or Team Buildings preferred
Other: Approximately 10% travel to store locations and corporate offices to support trainings and events. Ad hoc training, typically 1-2 weeks per quarter.
