Position Title: Desktop Support Technician
Company Name: top utility company in Houston, TX
Location: fully onsite
- Downtown Houston location
- No travel outside of towers
- Hours: 8am-5pm preferred
Reason for need: Windows 10 to 11 migration
Must Have Skills:
- 2 years of experience providing end to end desktop support to internal customers
- Windows 10 & 11 experience
- Microsoft Office 365 experience
- Basic computer hardware experience
Soft Skills:
- Ability to work independently with little management oversight
- Ability to communicate with internal customers in field and office setting
Nice to have Skills:
- Experience worth desktop support for remote employees
- Experience troubleshooting and setting up iPhone devices
- ServiceNow ticketing experience - BIG PLUS
- A certification
- Experience working in the field and supporting field laptops (currently using Panasonic cf33)
Day to Day responsibilities:
- Will be working with internal clients on their refreshes and new deployments of Laptops, desktops, and possible monitors and docking stations
- Swapping out end of life machines and Re-Imaging machines
- Troubleshoot applications where needed
- Computer refreshes - receive equipment , prep and deploy
- Transfer data to and from devices
- Work within ServiceNow to open and close tickets
- Set up printers and troubleshoot printers when needed - mapping printers for new machines
