Position Summary :

The Quality Analyst (QA) for the Data Engineering Team will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data processes, workflows, and solutions that power our vast chain of convenience stores and gas stations. The QA will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to establish rigorous quality standards, identify discrepancies, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

• Quality Assurance : Formulate, execute, and uphold quality assurance protocols and procedures tailored for Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL Server.
• Test Data Solutions : Regularly test newly developed or modified data systems to ensure they meet quality criteria.
• Collaborate: Work closely with data engineers to understand data workflows, pipelines, and ETL processes to ensure the end-to-end data flow is free of errors.
• Identify Discrepancies: Monitor data solutions for discrepancies or anomalies, report findings, and collaborate with the team to rectify them.
• Documentation: Document quality standards, metrics, and best practices for future reference. Maintain records of all quality assurance activities.
• Feedback Loop: Provide timely feedback to the data engineering team regarding quality issues and work together to develop solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to current data engineering practices to improve overall quality and efficiency.
• Training : Educate team members about the latest QA best practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in data quality assurance to ensure that the company's data infrastructure is always of top-notch quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 7 years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on data systems, databases, or data engineering processes.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and a robust understanding of Azure platforms and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
