School Store Manager

The School Store Manager is responsible for the managerial and operational oversight of the school store.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate current student, athlete, alumnae, staff, and larger community school store inventory.
• Confer with various departments to determine opportunities to provide apparel/merchandise that supports special events and program initiatives.
• Identify and investigate vendors and optimism costs associated with the purchase and sale of apparel/merchandise to members of the school community.
• Cultivate, manage, and train the staff members who will assist with on campus and off-site point of sales transactions.
• Project school store apparel/merchandise needs to include school uniforms, spirt wear, and commemorative and recognition products and furnishings.

General Responsibilities

• Market and sell school store apparel/merchandise at store location, select special events at on and off campus locations.
• Assist Business Office and Plant Staff with receipt, acknowledgement, and distribution directions for other supplies/merchandise received at the school store List
• Prepare and deposit cash and credit card transaction summaries along with cash at daily close pf the store to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
• Provide inventory control for apparel/merchandise purchases and sales that include product descriptions by relevant type, size, number, vendor, purchase, and sales dates; prepare product and cost summary of all inventory remaining at the end of the fiscal year.

Qualifications and Expectations

• 2 years' experience in a school bookstore.
• Demonstrate expertise in the field of retail marketing, sales, and management.
• Ability to work as a team leader, organize and manage a work environment to accomplish program goals safely and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with students, alumnae, parents, and colleagues in a courteous and effective manner.
• Ability to complete multiply tasks with minimal supervision, and work in an environment subject to interruptions.
• Outstanding communication skills to include the ability to use clear, concise and grammatically correct written and spoken language in all aspects of professional interaction with students, apparent, peers, administration and the larger community.
