The Simon Foundation is Hiring a Kennel Attendant - Night Shift Near Bloomfield, CT

**This position is strictly for our night shift. Please apply only if you are available for our night shift hours of 3-8pm. **

We are looking to add new employees to our team who are reliable and hardworking! The Kennel Attendant position is a critical role on the Simon team. Kennel Attendants are responsible for maintaining proper disease control, cleanliness of our facility and providing a comfortable environment for our animals. Must be able to work as part of a team to properly maintain kennels, follow protocols, as well as monitoring health and well-being of our animals. The right candidate needs to be comfortable working with both dogs and cats. Previous animal care experience highly preferred.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Perform kennel cleaning
  • Capable of bending, lifting 40 pounds
  • Must be physically capable of keeping up fast paced, rigorous cleaning regime.
  • Good listening and learning abilities
  • Ability work well both as individually and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented, have ability to follow strict protocols & procedures
  • Genuine passion for animal care

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be 21 years old or up
  • Have a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation
  • Have a flexible schedule
  • Be reliable and show for scheduled shifts
  • Be available for nights, weekends, and holidays!
  • Be available for Night Shift hours of 3pm-8pm.

Our facility is a 36,000 square foot state of the art, no-kill animal rescue and adoption center located in Bloomfield, CT. The foundation strives to provide quality care and comfort in a safe environment for homeless cats and dogs until they can be placed into loving forever homes.

Pay: $15.69 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
