Our team is dedicated to providing social media strategy, content development, and community engagement services to clients in theatre, live events, entertainment, and beyond, helping brands build and nurture their online communities to foster positive relationships and brand loyalty. We aim to be a place where talented professionals can work in an environment where autonomy is granted, creativity is encouraged, and systems are in place to allow for ideas, information, and a spirit of collaboration to easily flow between everyone who plays a part in the process of creating social media content.

Role Description

This is a remote contract role for an Online Community Manager, known as a "Community Engagement Specialist" at TST. The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for managing and engaging with the online communities of TST's clients, developing and implementing the platform-specific part of social media strategy, crafting creative responses during inbound and outbound community management, and monitoring and reporting on audience feedback. The Community Engagement Specialist plays a crucial role in representing the brand and ensuring our digital presence remains genuine to our brand identity. They are also responsible for sourcing content and ideas from audience responses, offering creative content suggestions based on current trends they see, and being a direct line from our followers to the Strategy Team, as well as the client. Basically, we want to pay you to be professionally chronically online while collaborating with other members of our team to ensure that we publish unique social content that genuinely represents our clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing online communities and social media platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to represent the brand thoughtfully and strategically, as well as adapt the tone of voice when writing copy in order to be true to the brand.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and best practices
  • Ability to develop and implement social media strategies, especially in a way that stays true to how everyday users of these apps are posting on each individual platform
  • Proficient in content curation and in-app editing on Instagram, TikTok, and companion apps like CapCut
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media metrics
  • Experience with customer support and issue resolution
  • Strong understanding of English grammar, balanced with fluency in internet lingo and trends
  • Familiarity with theatre, music, and entertainment industries is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
