The Southeast Permanente Medical Group is Hiring an EP Device Engineer Near Atlanta, GA

The EP tech will assist the EP providers performing the loop recorder insertion, checking to make sure the device is functioning. In addition to the procedures, the EP tech would take on the the following responsibilities to bring the department up to standard of care and be more efficient than in the current state.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Managing all new and current loop recorder monitor tracings, which must be checked and reported every 30 days (community standard of care). 3. Performing interrogations and reprogramming as needed, on all types of pacemakers and implantable cardiac devices.
  4. Maintaining the device database
  5. Assisting with device recalls affecting Georgia region
  6. Assisting in interviewing and training staff and provides input into evaluations regarding clinical competence and provides coaching and counseling.
Education:
  • Graduation from or completion of formal educational i.e., NP, PA, RN, LPN, CMA or Cardiac Device training program consisting of training and knowledge of cardiac rhythm management and device interrogation.
A minimum of two years on the job training and demonstrated proficiency in Cardiac Device Management may be substituted for the formal education training program.
Experience:
