The Specialty Manufacturing Company is Hiring a Quality Assurance Technician, Calibration Near Saint Paul, MN
Quality assurance (QA) ensures Specialty Manufacturing Co. meets both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations. The QA technicians support the activities required to meet quality standards and is responsible for maintaining the gage calibration system: monitoring, calibrating, coordinating third party calibrations, and gage maintenance. Essential Job Function
Maintain accurate written calibration documentation.
For all equipment calibrated in-house: test, calibrate, and adjust gages to industry standards.
Coordinates gage handling for third-party internal and external calibration
Carry out basic quality functions.
Ensure conformance with the Specialty Manufacturing Co. Quality Management Systems.
Prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Any other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements Education:
Required: High School diploma or GED
Preferred: Associate degree Quality Technician
Experience:
Required: mechanical aptitude, detail-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn.
Preferred: direct training (ASQ CCT or PMEL) or two years of experience performing Quality Technician - Calibration activities.
Knowledge/Skills:
Effective verbal and write communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Strong knowledge of basic mathematics and gage calibration.
Self starter must be able to work with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Preferred: Blueprint reading, GD&T.
Preferred: CMM or Vision systems.
Preferred: ASQ CCT or PMEL certification.
Physical Requirements:
Working on the shop floor in machining and manufacturing environment with a diversified work group.
Must be able to stand for up to two hours at a time.
Work must be performed on site during normal Specialty Manufacturing Co.'s business hours.
