The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for scheduling appointments and basic office work. This will include answering phones, filing, sending emails, entering data, etc.
Job Responsibilities :
Provide exceptional customer service both in person and while on the phone. Schedule appointments. Keep track of all appointments and ensure that appointment times do not interfere with other scheduled events.
Answer the phone using proper phone etiquette. File documents both accurately and in a timely manner. Keep an organized, pleasant work space.
Use a computer and / or computer software to input data. Insurance billing. Obtaining authorizations from insurance companies for procedures and appointments.
Assisting practitioners with patients. Follow all HIPPA policies. Keep work areas and waiting areas clean and free of debris.
Communicate effectively with staff and customers. All other duties as assigned.
Provable experience in a medical office is required. Computer skills and knowledge is required. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with staff and customers.
Ability to maintain professionalism at all times. Ability to be on time and motivated to learn. Must have a positive and friendly personality. Must be dependable.
