This is a tipped position.

Job duties may include, but are not limited, to these:

• Manage the work of one to ten Back of House team members

• Ensure all food items are executed properly in taste, presentation, and safety, according to the specifications of Executive Chef

• Help hire, train, and support the kitchen team

• Communicate effectively with multiple FOH and BOH team members to ensure the guest experience is outstanding

• Help plan, develop, and cost out new menu items

• Ensure a seamless transition between morning and evening shifts

• Ensure proper prep work is completed in an efficient, correct, and timely manner

• Uphold the highest safety and sanitation standard

We're looking for folks with the following skills and qualifications:

• Two years' experience cooking at a bar, restaurant, hotel, or similar place
• One year's experience supervising two or more people and developing a team mentality
• Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations and health code compliance
• Ability to troubleshoot problems big and small in high volume space
• Flexibility in shifts and tasks needed accomplished on a daily basis
• Proficient with computers, phone apps, and basic arithmetic
• Understanding of the basics of COGS, waste management, and scheduling
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
