The State Bank in Thomas Township, MI is seeking to hire a full-time Financial Service Representative / Universal Banker Float to serve our customers by meeting the needs of each individual customer and always seeking the opportunity to improve their banking relationship.
This is a float position, working at branch locations in Birch Run, Chesaning, Montrose, New Lothrop, St. Charles, Saginaw, with a home base of Thomas Township.
The typical schedule for this banking position is Monday-Friday with some Saturday shifts as scheduled. Employees can expect to work 40 hours a week, including two Saturday's a month.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A FINANCIAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / UNIVERSAL BANKER
As an FSR (Financial Service Representative) at The State Bank, you deliver quality customer service while ensuring each interaction is courteous, accurate and efficient.
You are always seeking the opportunity to improve the customer's banking relationship and will cross-sell products / services and refer customers to other areas of the bank when it provides a benefit to them.
You are a trained, high performing professional that assists customers by opening accounts and completing account maintenance.
You will also assist customers at the teller line, accurately and efficiently processing customer transactions. You may assist customers in-person at the branch, online, through video technology, and over the phone.
You are usually the first point of contact for customers who need help processing transactions or solving problems, as well as those who simply want to learn more about financial products.
You are the face of The State Bank to many of our customers.
You stay busy assisting customers with account opening, balancing checkbooks and resolving customer problems and concerns.
You provide ongoing relationship service with current customers to maintain goodwill and gain additional business and follow up with new customers through written and phone correspondence.
You complete outbound calls as assigned to assist the Bank with marketing campaign focus and service expansion opportunities.
You efficiently process routine banking transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, checks, transfers, and loan payments.
You also function as a customer service call staff member as needed, answering customer service calls while performing assigned branch tasks, servicing in -person customer needs and completing online service group assignments.
Utilizing your product knowledge, you promote, educate, and cross-sell financial products and services, and refer customers to other areas of the Bank to meet their current and future financial needs.
You are goal-oriented and always learning and improving. You have the opportunity to become Certified in your role. After completing additional training and completing the program, you are eligible for a pay increase! You feel great about using your customer service skills to make a positive impact in your community.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FINANCIAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
High school diploma / GED or equivalent
Understanding of a computer, computer applications and business equipment
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
Willing to assist at other branch locations as needed.
Prior banking and cash-handling experience is a plus. Do you have strong customer service and sales skills? Do you have great communication skills and a positive attitude?
