OPS - GAMES ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF THE LOTTERY – DIVISION OF GAMES ADMINISTRATION

OPS (Part-Time): 20 hours per week, $17.00 per hour

GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Games Administration Manager, the incumbent assigned to this position is responsible for the administrative work as well as facilitating the daily operations of the section.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide clerical and operational support for the Games Administration Team.
  • Process incoming mail and outgoing mail and distribute as required.
  • Receive, screen, resolve, and refer incoming Games Administration mainline telephone calls. Interface with Lottery staff, vendors, other agencies, and auditors as necessary and refer them to the appropriate unit personnel and provide excellent Customer Service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain current knowledge Lottery games, promotions, and systems to provide accurate information to Lottery customers and the public answer calls on the Player Hotline
  • Assemble and distribute terminal ticket adjustments to Analysts in compliance with Mail Handling Procedure.
  • Perform and manage draw paperwork auditing, scan, and filing of adjustment batches.
  • Create, maintain, and modify appropriate records and files related to staff, budget, and vendor contracts.
  • Assist staff with projects, correspondence, and daily clerical duties.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Lottery Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to effectively utilize the internal integrated office automation equipment and software.
  • Ability to compile and analyze data for administrative decisions.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques
  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of administrative principles and techniques of effective communication.

MINIMUM AGENCY-WIDE REQUIREMENTS:

Successful passing of a criminal background check (state, local, and national) is required.

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Maintains strict confidentiality of information learned while working with the Florida Lottery, whether learned through assigned duties or through working with other units. The types of confidential information may include, but are not limited to, payroll information, budget matters, policy decisions, tax matters, employee disciplinary issues, and other personnel data.
