Join our successful after school program as our engaging Kindergarten After School Lead Teacher. This unique, creative, and fun individual will be assigned to a group and will engage students while supporting the overall goals of the program. Our after school program also turns into a summer camp program during those months, so there is an opportunity to join that team as well!

Days: Monday through Friday
Time: 8:30am-5:30pm

Job Description

• Must be available 5 days a week during program hours.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants in the program, by providing appropriate supervision at all times.
• Plan and implement meaningful activities, lesson plans, and special events that are age-appropriate and exciting based in the areas of arts, STEM, character development, creative expression, community service, physical fitness, and/or nutrition
• Maintain accurate program documentation (attendance, sign in/out forms, behavior/incident/accident reports, as appropriate).
• Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings and special events as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with school-age children required (5 years old to 9 years old)
• Must be comfortable working with large groups of students in grades Pre-k4 -4th Grade (elementary school program)
• Must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members to ensure the program is running at a high quality.
• Will have the ability to structure program with engaging and fun activities including but not limited to, homework help, arts, and crafts, physical activities, team building, etc.
• Must have a friendly personality and comfortable communicating with parents of students.

Qualifications:

• MUST be able to work 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday
• Successful work history of at least 1 year working with children.
• A Bachelors Degree (or working towards one) in Early Childhood Education or another field related to child growth and development is required. .
• A MANDATORY Extensive Background Check will be conducted before hiring.
• If hired, First Aid training, CPR, and other training will be required.
